The build order

1. 1 — Match fiber to the hairstyle

   Straight and simple? Standard kanekalon is fine and cheaper. Curls, spikes, or anything reshaped with heat? Buy heat-resistant fiber, no exceptions.

2. 2 — Fit the cap before styling

   Wig cap, adjust the internal straps, and pin the wig down. A wig that slides mid-day ruins every photo, and a lace front needs trimming to your hairline before any styling.

3. 3 — Cut long, then shorter

   Cut bangs dry, on the head, in small vertical snips rather than one straight line. You can always take more off; you cannot put it back.

4. 4 — Heat style at low temperature

   Start at the lowest setting your iron has and test on a hidden underlayer. Fiber does not recover from a scorch the way real hair does.

5. 5 — Build volume with wefts and stuffing

   Big anime silhouettes are structure, not hair. Sew in extra wefts, and support tall shapes over a wire or foam armature hidden inside.

6. 6 — Lock it and store it

   Freeze spray in thin layers until it holds, then store the wig on a head or in its net in a box — never crushed in a bag between cons.
