Sourcing, cost, and build questions answered
Every anime & manga character page on DexKosu lists vetted costume sets from retailers such as Coshduk, Uwowo, MICCostumes, Amazon, and eBay, plus secondhand resale listings when a full set is discontinued or hard to find.
Ready-to-wear anime & manga costume sets typically land between $40 and $120, with wigs at $20 to $45 and contact lenses around $25 a pair. Armor-heavy or prop-heavy builds run higher once 3D printing filament, resin, and paint are included.
Yes — the 3D Files tab on each anime & manga character dossier links to STL marketplaces and free model repositories for weapons, armor pieces, and accessories, alongside DIY foam alternatives for anyone without a printer.
Filter this directory by the Notable tier and look for characters with a simple silhouette and no armor — a school uniform, jacket, or robe plus a styled wig is usually a one-weekend build. Each dossier lists an estimated build time and difficulty.
Match the wig's fibre and length to the character's silhouette first, then colour; heat-resistant fibre is worth it for any style that needs spiking or curling. For lenses, buy from a vendor that lists base curve and diameter, and never sleep in cosplay lenses.
